Virgin Rebrand - Edited and Graded at Sonic Films Can you believe that Virgin 1's Rebrand was shot on a Red camera, features a small red puppet called "red" and was edited and graded by a company who specilize in filming, editing and grading Red originated footage. Has the broadcast world gone completely red!?! The new idents were edited in house at Sonic using Avid and conformed and Colour graded using Scratch. They feature a small red puppet figure in various comical states highlighting the Virgin 1 brand and was launched on the 9th of June, 2009. Play the commercial

Nintendo - Wii Punch Out commercial starring Joe Calzaghe Joe Calzaghe and his son Joe junior are the face of "Punch Out", one of Nintendo's latest games for the Wii home video entertainment console. The commercial was shot on Red One cameras supplied by Sonic Films. A DIT for the shoot was also provided. All files were converted in Sonic's Digital Conversion Lab for an offline edit and a conform of the final cut was later created and sent back to the client for editing. The commercial is one of a number Sonic Films has been involved in for Nintendo. Others include Wii Fit with Louise Redknapp, Wii Music and Animal Crossing. Play the commercial

MTV 'No Break' Commercial - Produced, Shot, Edited and Colour Graded by Sonic Films December 2008 Sonic Films were asked to produce, shoot, edit and grade a commercial for MTV entitled "No Breaks" - marking non stop music throughout the new year period. Sonic had just six days in which to arrange the shoot from start to finish. Sonic made the arrangements for lighting, crew, location and equipment and Colm O'Rourke photographed the commercial which was then edited and colour graded back at Sonic's base. Aldi Super Market Commercials Sonic Films has contributed to a number of Aldi supermarket commercials in recent months. The most recent to be broadcast being at Easter. The commercial features TV chef Phil Vickery, as the face of Aldi, talking about the Easter chocolate bunnies available at Aldi. The commercial was shot entirely on the Red One camera and shooting kit was supplied by Sonic Films along with DIT for the days shoot. Offline Avid files were created for the edit and a conform of the final cut using Scratch was done at here at Sonic Films. Play the film

Arsenal Teenage Cancer Trust Appeal - Equipment and crew donated by Sonic Every so often a job comes along that is a privilege to be a part of. In December Sonic was asked if we would be willing to provide a two camera setup and DIT to shoot a short film appealing to members of the public to donate to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The short includes some tongue in cheek mocking of the Arsenal players by some of the teenagers from the trust. Including Gael Clichy in a rather fetching wig, Almunia having coats and bags dumped on him and Cesc Fabregas signing shirts in the background! The Arsenal players donated the fees generated by the Liverpool match on December 15th to the charity. Congratulations to all involved and many thanks from Sonic. Play the film

Young's Fish Commercials - Shooting and workflow by Sonic Sonic recently worked on two commercials for Young's fish. Sonic provided kit and crew for the two day shoot which stars Matt Dawson, the England Rugby World Cup winner, as the new face of Youngs Fish. Avid formatted files were supplied to the client by Sonic, ready to begin editing offline within hours after the end of the shoot. Play the commercial
