How long can I record for?
The Red Camera can record to either Compact Flash or RedDrives.
Currently 8GB compact flash cards are the highest capacity available.
Only the fastest 300x or greater cards can be used. The Red Drives can
record 320GB of footage.
8GB Compact Flash cards allow for approximately 4.5 to 5 minutes of footage
to be recorded to them.
320GB RedDrives can record approximately 3 hours worth of footage.
The RedDrives use two harddrives in a RAID array. As such they are susceptable
to violent movements or repetitive vibration such as a moving vehicle.
Solid State versions of these drives will be available in the not to
distant future. |
